hopeless case & of things despaired of...

Was introduced to St. Jude by an ex more than four years ago. At first I was kinda hesitant since I’m not really into any religious stuff. No I’m not an atheist, but I’m not a die-hard Catholic either. Let’s just say I’m somewhere in the middle. I actually don’t fuss about missing a Sunday mass.

Not even familiar with St. Jude and the parish. Been here once prior to my ex’s introduction. I think it was during Visita Iglesia when I was still young. Other than that, I wouldn’t even know where the heck the parish is located. Studied in QC so we were pretty much in opposite poles.

So there, it just so happened that my ex was a devotee. The first time he accompanied me at St. Jude, I was really surprised by the number of parishioners actually attending mass…on a Thursday evening! Mostly students who were asking blessings for their board exams.

Dunno but I somehow felt at home during my first visit. It’s as if St. Jude grew into me. I didn’t even feel obliged to attend mass unlike during Sunday masses. Initially, I really wanted to finish the nine consecutive novenas and have my first wish to St. Jude. After that, I wasn’t even counting. I just wanted to visit without any specific thing in mind. Maybe just guidance and good health for me, my family, and him. Even when he was falsely accused of doing illegal stuff at work, we asked guidance from St. Jude.

So there, even if our relationship ended abruptly, I was thankful that he introduced me to St. Jude and the Thursday novenas. If not for him, I’ll still be clueless and somewhat unguided. Thanks arpee!

In return, I do introduce St. Jude to people I know of. And to people I meet here at the site. Doing my share of enlightening souls LOL.

Sharing: I dunno if my physical qualities really stood out when I’m there (yes I’m kinda dark and looks foreign. But no I’m not!). Once I was approached by a Starbucks barista at Lee Gardens. She asked me if I frequent St. Jude. It turned out that she sees me seated at the front row during the evening masses. Another instance, just a while ago. A long time acquaintance popped me at YM asking if I was in white long sleeves seated at the first row last Thursday.

So there, in case you’ll be dropping by St. Jude, let me know. See you on Thursday! =)
